Jan Krejčí, Barbora Bicková and Josef Zeman, students of the Economics and Management master’s degree programme, achieved outstanding success in the prestigious Company Culture Competition, organised by the Association of Corporate Ombudsmen.
Under the guidance of Dr Nikola Soukupová, the trio impressed the jury with two case studies, competing against more than one hundred teams.
For IKEA, the students designed an onboarding programme aimed at young employees. Its goal was to turn the transition into a first job into a positive experience, provide new colleagues with opportunities for further development and use the company’s culture as one of its key strengths.
The second case study was prepared for the technology company OKSystem. It explored the use of automation and artificial intelligence in HR. The students sought solutions that would reduce the administrative burden on HR professionals and improve the employee experience while preserving a human approach and mutual trust within company processes.
In addition to succeeding with both case studies, the students also received the Audience Award and the award for the Best Presentation of the Day. This marks the most successful participation in the competition in the history of the Faculty of Economics. The result also completed a remarkable hat-trick, with USB reaching the podium in each of its three appearances.
Congratulations to Jan, Barbora and Josef on this outstanding achievement, and thank you for representing the Faculty of Economics so brilliantly!
