Faculty of Economics strengthens cooperation with Vietnamese universities

In September, the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia welcomed representatives of two prominent Vietnamese universities – Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Hanoi University (HANU). Both meetings focused on further developing cooperation in education, research, and academic mobility.

On 7 September 2026, the Faculty of Economics welcomed a delegation from Ton Duc Thang University led by Vice President Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau. The meeting was also attended by the Rector of the University of South Bohemia, Prof. Ing. Pavel Kozák, Ph.D., together with representatives of the Faculty of Economics. The programme included presentations of both institutions, a tour of the Faculty featuring demonstrations of teaching activities, and a discussion on opportunities for further cooperation.

This visit was followed on 10 September by a meeting with a delegation from Hanoi University, led by its President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the University of South Bohemia, Prof. Ing. Pavel Kozák, Ph.D., the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Ing. Vladimír Žlábek, Ph.D., and representatives of the Faculty of Economics. From the Faculty’s perspective, the discussions focused particularly on developing research cooperation. A concrete outcome is the preparation of a joint working meeting of academic and research staff from both universities. The meeting will provide an opportunity to present their respective research areas, identify topics of mutual interest, and discuss opportunities for developing joint research projects.

Both September meetings contributed to further strengthening the Faculty of Economics’ relations with Vietnamese universities and, in particular, to the preparation of concrete joint activities.
