The Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia took part in the Kousek ZeMě multicultural festival, organised by the Diocesan Charity České Budějovice at the monastery in České Budějovice.
At the Faculty’s stand, Joshua Mabeta, a student of the Economics and Management doctoral programme, introduced visitors to his home country of Zambia. He presented the beauty of this Southern African country, its traditions and everyday life. Visitors could also learn about traditional Zambian clothing, food and other aspects of its culture.
The festival provided an opportunity for people of different nationalities to meet, get to know one another and share their cultural traditions. Through its participation, the Faculty highlighted that a university is not only a place for education and research, but also a space where people from all over the world naturally come together. We are proud of all our international students, whether they come from European Union countries or other continents.
This is also reflected in our master’s degree programme Regional and European Project Management, which was established as part of the Faculty’s long-term efforts to internationalise its education. The programme builds on long-standing cooperation with our partner universities, Université de Bretagne-Sud (UBS) in France and Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (WHZ) in Germany.
