Doctoral Study Programmes at the Faculty of Economics, USB Receive New Five-Year Accreditation

The Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice has successfully completed the re-accreditation process conducted by the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NAB). By a decision of the NAB Council dated 13 November 2025, the accreditation of the doctoral study programmes Economics and Management and Economika a management was extended for a period of five years, effective from 30 December 2025.

The re-accreditation was carried out in accordance with the newly effective conditions and standards of the NAB, which introduced significant changes to the evaluation system of study programmes. Within this process, the Faculty successfully demonstrated compliance with all required standards, including the quality of study, research activities, and the provision of qualified academic supervision for doctoral candidates. The extension of the accreditation thus marked the successful completion of more than six months of preparatory work at the Faculty.

The NAB Council stated that the study programmes meet all requirements of the Accreditation Standards and decided to extend their validity for a five-year period. At the same time, it recommended continuing the planned development of doctoral studies, particularly in connection with the ongoing generational renewal of the academic staff.

The new accreditation confirms the stable quality of doctoral education at the Faculty of Economics, USB, and enables the smooth recruitment of new doctoral students in both the Czech- and English-language versions of the programme.
