Conference Ethics in 21. century: Everything you need to know
Thursday’s international scientific conference Ethics in the 21st Century is fast approaching. That is why we would like to share several important pieces of information that may come in handy during Thursday’s program.
Where will the conference take place?
As in previous years, most of the program will take place in the meeting room at the Rectorate of the University of South Bohemia, located on the 3rd floor. The plenary session, lunch, and part of the Parallel session will be held there.
The remaining part of the program, including the round table with business, the majority of the parallel session, and the accompanying Book SWAP, will take place in the Dean’s Office building of the Faculty of Economics USB. You can find all details on the conference website or in the detailed programme below.
Programme
The conference officially begins at 10:00 a.m., but registration in the Rectorate building will open from 9:00 a.m. Registered guests will receive their accreditation, an information booklet, and a gift bag during check-in.
The morning programme will begin with a plenary session led by Professor Drahoš Vaněček (Faculty of Economics USB) together with Ing. Miroslava Jelínková and Ing. Anna Marešová (AKO).
After lunch, the conference will move to room A009 in the Dean’s Office building of the Faculty of Economics USB for the round table with business, featuring representatives of Česká spořitelna, ČEZ, Budka and the Association of Corporate Ombudsmen. The afternoon parallel sessions will then be divided between both buildings. In three thematic sections, registered participants will present their contributions both in person and online.
The day will conclude with a networking dinner at the U Flíčků restaurant. A detailed schedule of lectures and the full conference programme can be found here.
The SWAP returns this year as well
Just like last year, this year’s accompanying programme will once again include a SWAP event. This time, we are bringing back the highly successful autumn “Knihobraní” concept and focusing once again on book exchange.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to bring books they no longer read or need to the Dean’s Office building of the Faculty of Economics USB and exchange them for other books. Books of all genres and styles are welcome – from fiction to textbooks.
