EF JU joined the “Trees for Arpida” initiative
On Wednesday, the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia joined Rotary Club České Budějovice, Sázíme stromy and Centrum Arpida in the volunteer event “Trees for Arpida.” Together, the participants planted dozens of new trees that will enhance the surroundings of Arpida’s newly planned extension.
The trees were planted primarily around the day-care centre building, the community garden, and the kindergarten. This new greenery will create a natural orchard-style environment, bringing more shade, privacy, and nature to the spaces where Arpida’s clients and staff spend much of their time. The planting will support both the aesthetic and ecological value of the entire area, offering long-term benefits for everyone connected with Arpida.
The event is a wonderful example of collaboration that brings together clients, employees, families, and partner organizations. The shared experience of planting trees not only introduced new greenery to the site but also created a sense of belonging, joy, and mutual support.
The Faculty of Economics would like to express its gratitude to Centrum Arpida, the Rotary Club and all partners for the opportunity to participate and to once again demonstrate that EF JU does not only teach environmental responsibility – we are always ready to lend a helping hand.
