A professional lecture for students and the general public will take place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Jiří Silný and will focus on the social concept of Fairtrade, which began eighty years ago as the initiative of one woman.

Today, Fairtrade provides a dignified livelihood for two million workers and their families while supporting environmentally responsible production. It represents one of the long-term globally successful examples of a solidarity-based and sustainable economic model.
